Program Overview
This student exchange program is open exclusively to students from Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar's partner institutions. Application deadlines are July for the September–January semester and November for the February–June semester.
There is no tuition fee for accepted students. However, student visa costs must be borne by the student: IDR 6,000,000 for a 1-year study period and IDR 8,500,000 for a 2-year study period. Applicants choosing a 5-month study period will still be required to pay the 1-year visa fee, in accordance with Indonesian immigration law.
Required Application Documents
Please complete the attached application form and submit the following documents:
1. A copy of passport
2. Passport-sized photo (Pasphoto)
3. Certificate of enrollment from home university
4. Recommendation letter from person in charge at home university
5. Academic transcript
6. Proof of English proficiency (if any)
7. A bank statement demonstrating proof of living expenses, with a minimum balance of US$2,000 or equivalent. If the applicant is financially supported by guardian or parent, their bank statement may be submitted instead. **
8. If the applicant submits bank statement from a parent or guardian, a letter verifying the relationship between the applicant and the financial sponsor must be also provided. **
** Note : Documents no. 7 & 8 may be submitted later after the applicant receives the Letter of Acceptance from Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar, to the same email mentioned below.
Application Procedure
1. Submit the completed application form and all required documents via email: fba@unmas.ac.id
2. Applicants will be contacted by a staff to attend an online interview.
3. The staff will notify the result by sending a Letter of Acceptance (LoA).
4. The staff will assist in processing the student visa with the Indonesian government.
5. The applicant will fill out a study plan under staff guidance.
6. Once the visa is issued, the applicant can arrange travel to Indonesia.
7. The staff in charge will pick up the student from the airport and escort them to a pre-arranged apartment.
Accommodation and Living in Bali
1. The university staff will assist in finding suitable accommodation near the campus upon request. Monthly rent for apartments ranges from IDR 2,500,000 to IDR 3,500,000. These apartments are fully furnished with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, hot showers, and are typically located 5–15 minutes walking distance from campus.
2. The main modes of transportation in Bali are online taxis or motorcycle taxis ordered via apps like Gojek or Grab. Public transport is limited and not ideal for daily commuting, though it may be used for leisure or sightseeing.
3. Daily meal costs range from IDR 25,000 to IDR 35,000 per meal. Cashless payment systems via mobile apps are widely accepted throughout Indonesia.
4. Each incoming student will be paired with a local student buddy who will assist with various daily needs.
5. All applicants are required to register for international health insurance from their home country prior to departure.
Additional Advice for International Students

make sure to wear formal attire when going to campus or educational
institutions.
Men are not allowed to wear sandals
or shorts, and women are not allowed to wear miniskirts above the knees or tops
that reveal the underarms or outline the shape of the body.
v Learn basic Bahasa Indonesia phrases to ease communication in daily life.
v Bring appropriate clothing for tropical weather: light, breathable attire, and respectful clothing for visiting temples.
v Be aware of cultural differences and local customs, especially in public behavior and religious etiquette.
v Keep digital and printed copies of all important documents including passport, visa, and insurance.
